‘Companion’ is a real-time and sensor-based simulation plant, originally designed to be installed within hospital wards. The inspiration came from the large- scale greenhouse-like constructions of the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, the team generated virtual plant avatars that are designed to be hypersensitive to uncontrollable natural factors within the hospital, such as living noise and natural light.
