Contributed to a research journal examining image production and authenticity in the generative AI era. This research traces the historical genealogy of manipulated images while analyzing how AI-generated images affect collective memory and perception of reality.
The study particularly illuminates how the scaling of large language models extends beyond mere technological advancement, becoming entangled with labor exploitation, data colonialism, and ethical concerns. It reexamines the relationship between 'event' and 'record' in an era where images no longer serve as evidence of reality but as elements that constitute reality itself.
